This is from the Robert Duvall film where he's a preacher, and I find the accuracy of some of the portrayal interesting. I've heard preachers use similar phrases over and over during sermons my entire life, and the value placed upon these phrases they repeat is reflected in the audience's reception of them every time they're said. Hopefully I can remember some of the ones my preachers used to say and put those up here as well.
